Science Tokyo Box service for medical and dental school members will be started and maintenance will be carried out accordingly.

 We apologize for the long-awaited maintenance of Science Tokyo Box (hereinafter referred to as “Box”) for the launch of the service to medical and dental school members. We would like to inform you of the schedule of the maintenance, the timing of the start of the service, and precautions for using the service.

■ Scheduled start date of use
Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 9:00 a.m.
* If maintenance is completed early, the service will be available upon notification of Slack maintenance completion.
* Details on how to log in and use the service will be provided in the maintenance completion notification.

■ Box Maintenance Period
The maintenance will be divided into the following two sessions, please refer to the latter section for details.

• 1st: April 25, 2025 (Fri.) 18:00 - April 30, 2025 (Wed.) all day (scheduled)
  → Notices and materials for the entire campus will be available for viewing.
• 2nd: Schedule to be arranged.
  → The Box accounts of medical and dental administrative staff will be linked to the Box folders of each department (division, section, group).

* If there are any changes to the maintenance schedule, we will issue a separate announcement via Slack.

■ Precautions (Please be sure to check)

• You will receive an email invitation, but please do not log in to Box with your @m.isct.ac.jp account before the maintenance completion notification, as your data may not be saved correctly.
• Although this will not affect the use of Box by members of the Science and Engineering Division, the operation may become unstable during the maintenance period.
• If you accept the invitation to @m.isct.ac.jp before the maintenance is completed, your Science Tokyo Box account may not be issued correctly Please do not invite medical and dental school members to collaborate using @m.isct.ac.jp until the maintenance has been announced.

■ Notice regarding the use of Box

• Please refer to the following documents for the folder structure of this Box service deployment.
  • Science and Engineering (Science Tokyo Box login required)
  • Medical and Dental (MS365 login required)
• Data migration from existing @tmd.ac.jp accounts (e.g. SharePoint environment) will not be performed. Sharepoint will continue to be available. Please migrate data to Box on your own, sequentially as needed.
• As soon as your account is created, Box will send an invitation email to your @m.isct.ac.jp address with the following sender.
  • From: Box < noreply@box.com >
• If you have obtained a Box free account (@tmd.ac.jp, etc.), you can continue to use Box with your free account, but access to campus folders, file requests, and other functions are restricted. However, since access to campus folders, file requests, and other functions are restricted, please migrate to the new account as soon as the Science Tokyo Box account (@m.isct.ac.jp) is distributed.
