Science Tokyo Slack provides official institute workspaces and community workspaces (CWS).
In order to use Slack provided by Institute, you need a "Science Tokyo ID" or "Integrated ID for Medical and Dental fields". For those who have applied for a guest account, the login method is different, so please check each login method.
You can use Science Tokyo Slack by logging in to the "Science Tokyo Authentication System". Please log in to the "Science Tokyo Authentication System" and follow the instructions on the screen. If you are using the authentication system for the first time, please start from "Science Tokyo Authentication System Initial Setup".
Until the authentication system of Slack is switched over in the first half of 2025, you will be able to use Slack by logging in from the "Integrated ID Portal for Medical and Dental fields.
Please refer to the following Slack help page for details on how to set up two-factor authentication for guest account login. With the exception of some functions, the usage after signing in is the same as regular members, but you can only participate in public channels that you have applied for in advance and private channels to which you have been invited. If you need to add a channel for business purposes, please contact the thread where you applied for a guest account from the person in charge of each department. (e.g. Faculty/Staff WS: #channel name)
To sign in with a mobile app such as a smartphone, add a Science Tokyo tenant from the "Add Workspace" menu in the mobile app. There are several ways to add an email address, QR code, etc. We recommend that you display a QR code from "Sign in Mobile" on the desktop app and read it with your mobile device for a smooth process.
In order to accumulate knowledge, we generally accept inquiries through our Slack channel. If you are unable to use Slack, please contact us by e-mail.
