Slack has been introduced at the Institute and is used as the official communication tool of the Institute. Please refer to the "Salesforce Slack help center" website listed in the reference link for standard usage and other information.
This page contains excerpts of the initial requirements for starting to use Slack at the Institute. The Institute owns the copyrights to all materials and videos, and any unauthorized reproduction or use of any part of them is strictly prohibited.
You can use the Science Tokyo Authentication System.
This service is available through the Integrated ID Authentication Portal for Medical and Dental Fields. The switchover to the Science Tokyo Authentication System is scheduled to take place in the first half of 2025.
In order to realize free and flat communication in a safe and secure environment, we have created usage rules and policies.
Users are responsible for their own use of the campus information services, so please check them in advance and abide by them.
Slack is available to the following, depending on your status. Depending on your status, you may be able to use Slack through your own authentication system or you may need to apply for Slack in advance.

Other Status | Temporary staff members under a worker dispatch contract or staff members of external organizations stationed on campus under contract, etc., a guest account application from the receiving department is required. |
Files (PDFs, documents, images, screenshots, audio, video, etc.) uploaded to a channel or direct message will be stored in Slack with a maximum upload limit of 1GB per file.
Please be aware that unnecessary or large file uploads can lead to unexpected information leaks or other accidents (please use Box or other Institute-provided storage services for data storage)
